Questions

How would I go about if I see my friends not acting in a loving way towards other christians. How do I go about telling them about that and using that passage to help describe how to set them on the right path? (3:20)

Thinking of people who were listening to the sermon and are not Christ followers, that they say, I want this assurance but they have not even gotten to the first point of saying, I accept. Confessing that Jesus is their Lord and Savior and they also hear us saying, “Open up your Bible, read your Bible.” Where would you have them first go when they first go when they first start reading their Bible? What book would you recommend starting? (6:15)

Someone asked me: How can I feel complete and happy in Heaven without all my loved ones? (8:05)

Josh’s questions/thoughts on sermon

Ice breaker: What’s something your parents used to say to you as a child that you promised yourself you’d never say — but now you catch yourself saying all the time? (15:10)

One of my points is that our love for our fellow Christians is evidence that gives us assurance that we believe and have eternal life. There’s informal ways we can love each other and formal (church ministry ways). What are some examples of both that you can think of or have seen folks doing to love each other? (17:40)

Listener Questions: Non-sermon

You stated in the sermon “You cannot love God and fear his eternal punishment at the same time.” So if you have fear in eternal punishment, does that mean you don’t actually love God? So maybe you are just faking your belief? Or better said you have a fear that your faith is not genuine but only head knowledge. (22:30)
