It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. – 2 Timothy 3:16c
Scripture both corrects us and prescribes to us. Both of these are aspects of teaching. Correction is the “what not to do” and prescriptions or commands are the “what to do” for followers of Jesus. How help and beneficial Scripture is to us. Not only does it give us the message of life, but it also gives us the message of how to live.
